 יהודית אדלמן-גרין היא מחנכת יצירתית וחדשנית ליהדות. היא גדלה במדיסון, ויסקונסין. בישראל יזמה ואחר כך ניהלה את התכנית הארצית בר/בת מצווה לילד המיוחד, שתחגוג השנה עשור לקיומה ותציין את יהודית כמייסדת שלה. התכנית ממשיכה להגיע מדי שנה למאות ילדים בעלי יכולות שונות. יהודית הקימה את מחנה הקיץ הראשון בישראל עם לינה לילדים בעלי צרכים מיוחדים. כן ייסדה תכנית הכשרה/תעסוקה לבוגרים עם צרכים מיוחדים, כאנשי סגל במחנה הקיץ. היא יזמה גם כנס ארצי לחינוך מיוחד יהודי, שהפגיש רבנים, מורים, הורים וסטודנטים לשלושה ימי לימוד ניסיוני ויצירתי. הכנס מומן על ידי הוועד לפלורליזם ולרבגוניות דתית של הפדרציה היהודית של לוס אנג'לס. יהודית היא בעלת תואר שני בלימודי היהדות מטעם מכון שכטר בירושלים והוסמכה לרבנות בהיברו יוניון קולג' בירושלים ב-2009. ב-2002 העניקה לה ליגת הנשים ליהדות מסורתית את פרס Woman of Distinction. בדצמבר 2003 קיבלה את פרס ליבהבר לפלורליזם וסובלנות דתיים. ספר בשם "Immigrant Lessons" יצא לאור באוגוסט. הספר הוא על התנסויותיה כעולה חדשה. יהודית הוסמכה לרבנות בהיברו יוניון קולג' בירושלים, במטרה להמשיך ולהכליל בקהילה היהודית אוכלוסיות בעלות יכולות שונות ולתת להם את ברכת הדרך.
יהודית עלתה לישראל ב-1984. היא נשואה לד"ר ברני גרין ואם לשלושה: רפאל, בן 26, שירה, בת 24, ואילנה, בת 17.
תחביביה הם כתיבה יוצרת, קריאה, נגינה בגיטרה, הליכה בחיק הטבע, בישול ולימוד מקורות יהודיים. ספרה יוצאת לאור בימים אלה.http://www.israelbooks.com/bookDetails.asp?book=637

About the Author

She lives in Israel with her husband and three children, and cooks them Sarah’s eggplant.
